Terms of use

Plain-language terms for the free color tools and the waitlist. By using Color Analysis Scan you agree to them.

Updated November 3, 2026

Who we are

Color Analysis Scan is owned and operated by David Novotny, Bahnhofstrasse 1, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland. You can reach us at hello@coloranalysisscan.com.

What the results are, and aren’t

The tools estimate your coloring from a camera image or a photo and suggest a seasonal color type and a palette. Seasonal color analysis is a style tradition, not a science: it has no measured ground truth, and professional analysts can disagree with each other.

Results change with lighting, white balance, the camera and how you sit, and two runs for the same person can differ. They are estimates for general interest and practical ideas. Colors on a screen are an approximation. Results are not medical or professional advice and not a judgement of anyone.

Using Color Analysis Scan

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Only use the camera or a photo of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to it.
  • Don’t use the results to harass or make decisions about other people.
  • Don’t try to disrupt the site or copy it in bulk.

See our privacy page for what does and doesn’t leave your device.

The Full Color Report and the waitlist

The Full Color Report shown on this site isn’t available yet. Pressing its button doesn’t buy anything: no payment is requested or taken, and there is no pre-order. You can leave your email address to hear when it is available. Doing so commits neither of us to anything, and the name, contents and price may change before it is offered.

No guarantees

We work to keep the tools careful and the site available, but we provide Color Analysis Scan as it is, without guarantees that results are accurate for your purpose or that the site is always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using the free tools, such as a purchase made on the strength of a result.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts at the operator’s seat in Switzerland have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer venue you have under the law of the country you live in.
